What is a RETROFIT?

A retrofit is a process of updating a current manufacture/mobile home foundation system with equipment designed to strengthen the foundational support.


Who needs a RETROFIT?

Anybody planning to purchase an existing mobile/manufactured home which is not up to FHA/VA/HUD federal standards.

Anybody wanting to refinance on an existing mobile/manufactured home which is not up to standards.


How long does it take to install the equipment?

In most cases our crew will need just a few hours to get your equipment installed.  If you have more permanent skirting (brick) it will take longer.


Do you have to lift the house?

No.  We don't lift the house at all.  Our certified XI2 Retrofit systems do not require any lifting of the house. 


Where is the RETROFIT installed?

We will need access under the mobile/manufactured home.  We will temporarily remove the skirting, climb underneath, install the equipment and then reattach the skirting.


Do I have to leave the house while you install the RETROFIT?

No.  We are able to install the retrofit while you are in your home.


How soon does my loan officer get the certificate from the engineer?

Once we have completed the installation, please allow 2-5 business days for the engineer to send your loan officer the completion certification.  In most cases your certificate is delivered in less than 2 days.


How much does it cost?

In most cases it will cost between $1200 and $2000 for any size mobile/manufactured home retrofit package.  In addition to that there will be a separate $450 engineer fee for the certification.  If there are any issues that complicate the installation there may be additional charges.  If there are additional charges they will be explained before the project begins.


When do I pay?

Payment is made through the closing of your loan.  We offer a 5% discount if you choose to pay the day we complete your retrofit project.  We do accept CREDIT CARDS or you may pay through a PayPal Invoice we send. 


How do I pay?

We do accept CREDIT CARDS in two ways.  We can send you an invoice through PayPal and you can use your credit card or we can take your credit card the day of service using our mobile credit card terminal.  If you choose to take advantage of the 5% discount, payment must be made the day of service.  No exceptions for the discount.
